ABOUT ME

At her core, rising artist Chevy is a true storyteller. Known for her unique, heartfelt music that blends a singer-songwriter sensibility with shades of musical theater, indie-pop, and jazz — alongside the immersive world-building in K-pop or J-pop — Chevy is the kind of artist who creates a whole world within each song. Her music is proof that staying sugary sweet and embracing the cuter side of life can be its own act of bravery.

Born to a Singaporean and Malaysian Chinese family, Chevy grew up in Australia before making the United States her home base. Always penning her own songs, her background has allowed her to develop an artistic voice that feels deeply personal but still manages to resonate with listeners across cultures and backgrounds.

This spirit is exemplified in her 2026 EP, Hopeful Romantic, a clever, more optimistic twist on the idea of a hopeless romantic. “We’re all wanting love, and we all have expectations for it, but I realized that if I’m anything, I’m a hopeful romantic,” she explains. “Especially in this day and age, where people can feel cynical towards something that feels so daunting, I want to bring some whimsy and light to it.”

Chevy introduced this chapter with the string-laden “In Love Like You,” where her vocals float over a waltz beat, painting a picture of someone ready to take a leap of faith into romance. She followed it with her latest single, the twinkling “Simply.” Here, Chevy works from a foundation of the many kinds of love that can appear around us — written originally for her best friend, “Simply” became a broader ode to the many small acts of care that provide joy and assurance. “When you’re scared of an insect inside your room, I’ll pick it right up even though I’m scared too,” she sings.

Beyond her original music, Chevy has also lent her voice to the global gaming phenomenon Honkai: Star Rail, where she performs as the singing voice of the character Robin, offering another indicator of her ability to bring vivid characters and emotional worlds to life. In 2025, she performed the music from Honkai: Star Rail to a sold-out arena audience in Shanghai.

Whether working on her next song in her bedroom or stepping into superstar mode as Robin, her work has yielded more than 220K Instagram followers and earned her nearly 700K monthly Spotify listeners, all here to witness the way Chevy’s heartfelt songwriting, gentle charisma, and rich discography make a hopeful tomorrow feel more real and vivid than ever.
